Planning your big day can feel like a whirlwind of decisions, excitement, and Pinterest boards, but you’re not alone. As the owner of Circle of Seven Ranch, I’ve had the absolute joy of walking alongside so many incredible couples as they bring their wedding dreams to life right here at our venue. In this post, I’ll be walking you through a typical summer wedding day timeline at Circle of Seven Ranch.

Before we begin, here at the ranch, our suggestion is to have your ceremony 1-1/2 hours before sunset to make the most of our grounds, sunset photos and transition into your reception time as the sky turns to night. This timeline is based on a summer wedding with sunset at 8:00 pm.

9 AM Setup Begins

The day officially begins for couples, close friends, family members, and anyone helping with setup. This is when everyone comes together to place the couple's personal touch around the venue for an unforgettable day.

When you arrive, you’ll find the venue already glowing with charm and character. Lighting is set, spaces are styled, and the energy in the air is full of excitement as the ranch transforms into the perfect celebration space.

From this moment on, the pace picks up as the big day comes to life. It’s a perfect opportunity to see the details come together, make any last-minute adjustments, and take a quiet moment to soak in the peaceful surroundings before the celebration begins.

10 AM Vendors Arrive and Setup Continues

During mid-morning, you'll see photographers, hair and makeup teams, and other key vendors arriving and getting to work. Each professional plays an important role in bringing your vision to life and ensuring every detail is just right for your celebration.

Your photographer may begin capturing candid moments as the final touches come together. These behind-the-scenes images help tell the full story of your wedding day, adding depth and personality to your wedding photo album.

The bridal party may also begin their preparations around this time. Whether using the ranch’s cozy bridal suite or another nearby space, keeping things calm and organized helps set the tone for a smooth and joyful day ahead.

12 PM The Bridal Party Prepares

By noon, the bridal party's hair and makeup routines should be in full swing. This time is about more than just getting ready, it’s also a chance to relax, share laughs, and soak in the excitement with your closest friends and family.

Having snacks, drinks, and even a few sweet treats on hand is a smart move. Staying hydrated and keeping energy levels up is important, especially with all the movement, emotions, and anticipation leading up to the ceremony. Don’t forget to take a few moments just to breathe and enjoy the company around you, these quiet memories often become some of the most cherished.

2 PM The Ceremony Setup

As the clock strikes 2 PM, the atmosphere shifts towards the ceremony setup. If it hasn't been completed by this time already, chairs are arranged perfectly by the Circle of Seven team, so any last-minute seating decor can be placed.

Take a moment for yourself to breathe deeply and reflect on the vows you are about to share. Visualizing this significant moment can ease any overwhelming feelings. It's also smart to designate a trusted friend to address potential issues, whether it’s wardrobe malfunctions or elements out of place.

6:30 PM Your Ceremony

Your moment arrives—the ceremony! Surrounded by your loved ones, the beautiful scenery of Circle of Seven Ranch sets the stage for your vows.

As you walk down the aisle, breathe in every detail. This is your time to shine and celebrate your commitment. Personal touches, such as reading customized vows can elevate the experience, adding a layer of meaning to the event.

6:50 PM Reception Begins

Guests will transition to the bar and graze on your scrumptious appetizer edibles. As your guests get their drinks and hors d'oeuvres, use this time for photo opportunities with your wedding party and your immediate family at the ceremony area and all around our garden grounds.

Don't worry about your guests entertaining themselves, as you are taking pictures, you will find many of your guests are also taking their own photos, walking around the grounds or gazing upon our longhorns in the adjacent pastures.

As you finish your photos, this is an excellent moment for a grand entrance. Make sure your DJ or band is ready to set the tone for the night. Consider starting with your first dance; it can serve as a charming gateway to the celebration.

7: 30 PM Dinner Service

Dinner service typically kicks off presenting your carefully selected menu. Though you might be tempted to mingle with your guests, try to make time for dinner by being the first ones served. This will help you be sure you're ready for your sunset pictures afterwards.

As you look around the room, take a moment to soak in the happiness of the evening. The sounds of laughter and clinking glasses serve as reminders of the love that surrounds you.

7:50 PM Sunset Photos at the Dock

While your guests are enjoying their dinner, this is a good time to sneak away to take your golden hour photos on the dock and around the pond.

As the evening progresses, get ready for the delightful cake cutting. This moment symbolizes sweetness in your journey together, and it's another fantastic photo opportunity!

If you enjoy themed events, consider a surprise theme that excites your guests and adds an element of fun to the dance floor.

10:00 PM The Grand Send-Off

Prepare for your grand send-off. This moment can truly highlight the end of your special day.

Consider using sparklers or bubbles, adding a magical effect as you and your partner. We suggest having your send off before the end of your reception so that more of your guests can be included in this wonderful photo opportunity.
